John Travis is a
life-long Clevelander. He went to Sts. Phillip & James
grade school on the west side of Cleveland, then moved to Parma Heights where he was a
student at Holy Family. After graduating from Valley Forge High School, John attended
Ohio State's business college
and law school.
John met his
wife, Lyn, while they both assistant prosecutors in the City of Cleveland. They were
married in 1983 and are blessed with one daughter, Makenzi, who will graduate next May
from Loyola Law School in Chicago. John works
at the law firm of Gallagher, Sharp. Lyn is an assistant Cuyahoga county prosecutor
in Bill Mason's office. Lyn
is active in St. Raphael youth ministry and training/ scheduling altar servers,
in addition to being a lector and a Eucharistic minister.
John
enjoys walking, biking, reading, and playing the piano. The Travises live
in Bay
Village,
where their home parish is St. Raphael.
